The story behind Thrive Miniature
This bronze statuette is the fruit of a long process combining traditional and modern techniques. To explore new technologies and creative avenues, the original work Thrive was subjected to 3D scanning, capturing every detail of the sculpture. Then, using modeling software, the work was digitally reproduced, allowing the object's dimensions and proportions to be modified. Once the modeling was complete, the statuette was reduced to the desired size, while preserving the integrity of the original work. Using 3D printing, a plastic shell copy was printed and used as a model for the final stage: bronze casting. Using the traditional foundry process, the printed model was reproduced in bronze, which was then coated with a black patina. The bronze piece is covered with a protective wax and presented on a granite base.
