The Opening
V à F is part of The Opening collection. As Gems’s inaugural collection, the Opening brings together an eclectic collection of works from 4 distinct artists: Jean-Michel Correia, Vincent Lussier, Jérémy Paguet, and Versallya. Rather than uniting under a single theme or narrative, each piece intentionally resists cohesion, allowing the artists to imbue the collection with their own unique approach.
The Opening looks not to confine its works to a singular theme but to celebrate the diversity of artistic voices and styles. Paintings focussing heavily on geometry blend with pieces based on abstraction and repetition. Figurations of noble materials blur with works that dissolve the distinction between form and matter. Each artist's contribution offers a glimpse into their inner world, encouraging viewers to engage with the artworks and their creators on a deeper level.
